My husband and I interviewed several designers before we embarked on designing and furnishing our family home. Kristin by far, stood out the most. She is pleasant, energetic, respectful of our tastes, visions and most importantly, budget. There was never a time where we felt that she was not listening to our wants and needs. She helped us with everything from our roof to the draw pulls in our laundry room. Kristin has the unique ability to keep you focused and in turn move the process along without challenging your budget. We receive many compliments on our home and without a doubt, we have Kristin Raybon to thank.

The first moment we walked into the model at Summercove, which Kristin designed, we loved it. And before we walked out the door, we were searching for—and found—Kristin’s card. We didn’t actually purchase our Summercove condo until almost a year later, but during that entire year, I kept her card firmly in place on my desk, knowing that we would call eventually.

Once we bought our condo, one of our first steps was to call Kristin. In order to communicate our tastes—which are casual and contemporary, but not beachy—we clipped a few photos from magazines. Based on only those few photos, Kristin was able to understand and execute our rather vague vision for our new home.

After our initial meeting with Kristin here in Sarasota, we went back to our full-time home in Massachusetts, so rarely saw Kristin, but worked with her by email, phone and regular mail. She consulted and advised us every step of the way, sending choices for our review. For virtually every decision, we went with Kristin’s direction, and are so happy that we did. She often presented us with ideas we would never have thought of ourselves, for example, converting our second foyer into a charming and functional sand room, complete with shelves, baskets, hooks and faux painted beach grass on the walls. Another suggestion we love is our built-in bookcase placed in the wide-enough hall between our guest bedrooms. And of course, we are delighted with the styles, furnishings, fabrics and other materials she recommended.

With regard to cost, we felt that Kristin’s fee was completely reasonable, especially considering all of the extra time and attention she provides.

This was our first experience working with a designer, and we are so happy and satisfied that we chose Kristin Raybon. We know that if we had tackled the design ourselves, we would have spent the same—maybe even more—and would never have accomplished the comfortable and tasteful look that Kristin achieved. We’re now living with the results of her work and still admire it every day.
